I worked at Taco Bell full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Since everything is so hectic, overtime is usually guaranteed. The environment is a little intimidating but once you get the hang of it the team starts to feel like family. Free food is only allowed if you're hitting the required metrics each month and even then you'll have to either wait until it's not so busy or make it yourself. Since management is a joke you can practically wear whatever you want as long as it's black.

    Cons

Stores are usually chaotic, tons of drama, sometimes your schedule accommodations are not met and you have to find a replacement for your shift. People call off like crazy with little to no punishment. Every week there is something that isn't ordered on the truck meaning one week you're out of large cups, the next you're out of mild sauce. The customers can talk to you however they please and you have to smile through it all. It seems as though no one works with a sense of urgency and are too focused on what happened at a party rather than why customers have been waiting almost 20 minutes for their food. One you're able to get vacation time the RGM will do everything in his/her power to not give it to you so start working on it as soon as possible.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to FIRE PEOPLE! Learn how to properly train, how to order a truck with everything the team needs, enforce uniform standards and work together. The team does what the RGM allows. If the RGM allows the team to slack off the shift leads have little say in the matter.

    Crappy pay, very fast paced.

    Advice to Management

You should probably start people out with more and change the order taking system a little bit.
