I have been working at Taco Cabana part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great co-workers, and a 50% discount. Some managers may allow you to make food for free. Your pay will always equal that of the new employees at least.

    Cons

If there's a rush of any kind, you're going to be stuck late, cleaning out your station. The grills make it annoyingly hot. Nobody is good at teaching the line, so you will have to take initiative with people you don't know in order to learn.

    Cons

everything else, management played favorites, overnight shifts, always super short staffed, lazy employees, no raise ever, also HIGH turnover rate

Work on getting managers that care about their employees schedules, and doesn't play favorites.

I worked at Taco Cabana part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible hours, free food every shift, breaks given when needed

    Cons

If there is little food prepped, the store becomes full of angry customers. Thought that is a given, the managers treat the team members like they're the bottom, even if one was doing their work and then some.

    Advice to Management

Care for the Team members. Take note on who is doing what and give adequate raises over time.

I worked at Taco Cabana full-time

    Pros

You get no uniform and no benefits. There are not any anything to except from working here.

    Cons

Management will hire you and lie about where you work promise to hire at one location but then fire after the first day. They don’t offer benefits or discounts just because you pass drug test it might take a month before they fire you if get hired except to get the run around since they lie constantly. There is not a uniform nor do you get clocked in and be offered minimum wage but told the pay rate is higher.

    Advice to Management

It would help to hire people for one day and offer breaks or lunch break. Additionally, there is not much more than have workers try to communicate to each other.

I worked at Taco Cabana full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    -easy to get time off
    -had great coworkers/management
-not too hard to move up to a manager from cashier

    Cons

-people no called no showed a lot without consequences which led to more people doing it
    -long, long hours
-pressure to get good customer reviews on surveys

    Advice to Management

Chill with the surveys, the people who buy taco cabana are the kind of customers who fly off the handle for no reason, and we have to give them free food to keep them calm, which keeps them coming back to cause problems for free food & makes our shifts harder
