I worked at Taiyo Yuden full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    None that I can remember.

    Cons

If you like working in a concentration camp, this is a good place. Their is no talking aloud as you work, the most hum drum environment I have ever worked in. Training is terrible and management does not communicate with co workers. Co workers sit behind each other and must use phones or email. Depressing environment.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to communicate your staff.

I worked at Taiyo Yuden part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good pay, if your good with data entry or excel, you will like this job. 8-5 kind a job.

    Cons

They fire and rehire people. It doesn't matter if you worked longer. It's too far from the city, it's all the way to Solana beach. You barely communicate with the coworkers in person, most of the times is through messenger and phones. The previous supervisor told me she was going to give me more job, but they fired her and they never got back to me instead they fired me as well. Instead they rehired new more people.

    Advice to Management

Take your time to train the people you hired and make them feel you value them.

I have been working at Taiyo Yuden full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I have been working here for more than 12 years and counting. The company enabled me to grow professionally and personally. They taught me excellent work ethics - discipline and respect. They trust me to do challenging tasks. And I am able to provide financially for my growing family. The company is continually improving.

    Cons

Too Japanese way. Japanese Superiors expects us Filipinos to be like them. They feel insulted if you say "I can't" or "NO".

    Advice to Management

Relax and let us do our job, our way.

I have been working at Taiyo Yuden full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good place to gain knowledge from such a big organization, especially for fresh grad. High efficiency. Systematic company with compliance to laws and regulations.
Dealing with global gigantic company. Provide free lunch. Have chance to go to Japan for training.

    Cons

Stressful working environment. Low motivated staffs due to long years working with least increment and promotion. Low supportive management. A lot of fire fighting. Malay & chinese speaking.

    Advice to Management

More trust and support to local staffs, believe in their professionals, more delegation.
