I have been working at Takasago International full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You learn a valuable lesson to research a company before you sign the acceptance letter..

    Cons

Very low morale caused by incompetent management and HR. Employees are instructed not to complain. You must walk around with a smile at all times. If you go to HR, you are listed as a problem child and your career is over. I'd that to emphasize that employees are treated very poorly at this company. There are absolutely zero perks to work here.
Training doesn't exist which is leading to turmoil within. If the FDA had the authority to audit no doubt there would be a list of violations. No training manuals, no record keeping..the list goes on.
The implementation of failing system. They are still fixing issues that should have been resolved during the testing period but again you couldn't complain at that time for fear of repercussions by management.
Work Life balance is poor. They are not flexible with timely any means. You can come into work early and stay late but if you need to leave fifteen minutes early, better be sure to make that time up during your lunch break.
For new employees you get 10days PTO for the first year. What a shame.
    Salaries are low for industry.
    Benefits are not that great.

    Advice to Management

Job seekers don't bother to apply here. No career path and unprofessional HR and management. This place is a ticking time bomb.

    Pros

Holiday time off and summer hours. Good employees with talent. A lot of professional and hourly employees with good work ethics, when not beat down by management.

    Cons

Actions by Vice Presidents usually occur because there is no accountability for their harm and/or results. Most employees find their work environment to be very stressful.

    Advice to Management

Grow up and end your petty games. Realize your egotistical approach to management beats employees down, creates stressful work environments and is counterproductive to the overall growth of the company. When it comes to company culture, in the past 5-7 years, your words have been many, your actions have been little, resulting in further decline of the work environment. Do not be afraid of your employees; enable them to have a career path and assist with their professional development, you are likely to be surprised by the increase in employee loyalty. Promote employees from within the company, in lieu of the significant amount of middle and senior managers you hire from outside of the organization.

    Pros

summer hours...which were abused by management

    Cons

Human Resources, is Inhuman Resources. If you had an opinion better keep it to yourself, or you are labeled a trouble maker. The worst managers ever. No one was qualified to do the work let alone lead a department. Managers would use ethnic slurs to talk about workers. I never met such a bunch of cut-throat thoughtless people in one place in my life. They wouldn't teach you/train to do your job for fear of you doing a better job then them. The worst 10 years of my working experience.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the entire Human Resources Department. Get all managers to take a course in business
management. This company is an embarrassment to the Japanese people.

I worked at Takasago International full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Flexible hours, half day Fridays in the summer and depending on your position there is a good work/ life balance.

    Cons

Some of the upper management employees are extremely unprofessional, they play favorites and bully others with intimidation tactics. Management level employees don't get along with each other and this causes a great deal of conflict throughout the company.
The moral within Takasago USA is so low and employees who have spent many years are the company are leaving. Some of these people chose to leave even before finding other jobs because of how bad things have become. The is very little recognition for hard work and there is hardly any room for advancement. Sadly the way upper management treats employees, more will be leaving.

    Advice to Management

Upper management needs to follow the rules of the company and not just expect that only mid level employees have to do so. Unprofessional behavior is very common and needs to be stopped. Employees should be protected from this type of behavior. Recognized and appreciate hard working employees or they will seek new jobs that will reward them with higher pay and better positions.
