    Pros

Peers (most of whom have moved on) were mostly decent engineers trying to make the most of a terrible situation.

    Cons

Toxic environment, high turnover. Unethical management.

    Advice to Management

Put this company out of its misery. 14 preventable deaths attributed to your inflators so far- you don't deserve to continue in this business.

I worked at Takata full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Unfortunate there aren't very many pros of working with this company. Only shinning star is that there are Lots of well educated employees.

    Cons

Directors and VPs grow on trees and normally are connected to someone. The same people who have put the company in a bad position are the people who were appointed to get them out, causing questions and concerns from many of the employees. It's sad when it becomes the norm to hear breaking news about your company from the tv or a cashier; Employees are kept in the dark.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees. When people are leaving at the rate they are, maybe it's time to look deeper. The talented people who have left this company in the last three years is extremely disappoing.

I have been working at Takata full-time

    Pros

    Location. People. Reasonable compensation package.

    Cons

Terrible management. Too political. Lack of professionalism. Too many unnecessary managers, directors and VPs and not enough people to actually do the job. It is virtually impossible to imagine how this company will survive the current situation with such incompetent group of leaders.

    Advice to Management

Make changes. STOP promoting the same people over and over and expecting different results.

    Pros

They pay well and have good benefits. The plant is very clean and we'll organized. They have recently open a new facility that is TPS all the way.

    Cons

You will be belittled by man that is a die hack and butcher but claims to be the finest michigan has to offer. He will scream and yell and takata will not do anything about it. His sidekick is a complete moron but kisses the big guys butt so he can say and do whatever he wants.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of that man and you will be able to hire people again.

I worked at Takata full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Working inside in a moderately temperature controlled building. Meeting a few like minded individuals that were enjoyable to work with. Lots of promises upfront and a fast paced exciting beginning. 8 hour work days that seem to fly by.

    Cons

Working for a company that has been proven to lie and take innocent lives due to inadequate manufacturing practices of safety devices. This could be due to many reasons. The concerns in my experience are " it's not what you know, but its who you know". Contributing factors include high school mentality, possible substance abuse at all levels, Not utilizing the experience of new individuals because of a "this is how we have always done it" mentality.

Poor pre-work scheduling and everything is a must get done right now emergency. This is due to a communication break down or a lack of knowledge regarding process manufacturing. And because of managements inability to normalize daily work flow. The employees working the assembly line across the board don't get to have a normal family/work life balance creating a huge drop in moral.

The turnover rate is unreal and they wonder why they are always having to look for new talent. The individuals that disembark form this institute are the lucky ones. If you choose to venture into this establishment good luck. They claim to be a technical and innovative company...The orientation presentation plays a VHS tape from 1998! And has company history going from the beginning to 2006. This was in 2014 ,but I guess maybe that was the last year they might have been a good company to work for.

    Advice to Management

They don't listen anyways, but if they did.. not sure if there is the acceptible capacity to absorb what is being conveyed in an educated manner.
