I worked at Take Care Health full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Liked the work and co-workers, pleasant clinic. Professional environment.

    Cons

Job depended on the contract with another business. When the contract was not favorable not much you could do about it no matter how good your job performance was.

    Advice to Management

Continue to hire well and retain the talent from within. If a contract is cancelled or significantly altered allow employees to transfer within the company instead of making them reapply for their jobs.

    Pros

In my 25 plus years experience I have never worked with such amazing coworkers. I realize this is a rare and highly appreciated, by myself at least, commodity. We all work as a team looking out for one another and everyone seems to step up to the plate if another person needs coverage or a hand with work or a project and all of this usually without being asked. For that reason alone it makes it easy to over look any down falls there might be in working for Take Care Health Clinic.

    Cons

Basically no more problems than minor things that most companies have that are as large as we are and what problems we do have we look for ways to solve them.

    Advice to Management

My only advice would be to make sure all of your managers lead by example. If a manager leads by example their employee's will follow their lead usually without question. But, if a
manager request their employee's continually to work harder, longer or at their highest quality when that manager does not lead doing the same, it is highly unlikely the employees will
follow direction with ease or give it their best.

    "Nurse Practitioner"

    StarStarStarStarStar
    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee
    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

    Decent Market rate hourly pay

    Cons

High employee turnover. Nurse practitioners are expected to be receptionists, coders, marketing agents, janitors and cashiers in addition to diagnosing and treating patients. Small patient treatment rooms crammed in the back of the stores that do not have separate climate controls. Rooms are either freezing or saunas. No windows. Sometimes Difficult to spend 12 hrs in such confined spaces.

    Advice to Management

Don't force your nurse practitioners to be marketing agents.
