I have been working at Takeda Pharmaceuticals full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Strong pipeline of products. Good company growth and prospect.

    Cons

HR and Snr management are too weak or incapable of handling disruptive toxic behaviours, as a result people can't leave fast enough. Individuals who have been with the company for a long time are now becoming extremely territorial towards new talented individuals joining the Company.
Very limited career opportunities at Country level.
A lot of talk but no action! No transparency with regards to how decisions are taken.

    Advice to Management

Train first and foremost your Snr Management as they fall really short of any expectations, make sure you practise what you preach!
HR should immediately react to non professional bullying behaviour and not try to hide things under the rug.

I have been working at Takeda Pharmaceuticals as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Flexible working hours, reasonable canteen, Fairly laid back approach. Average Pay for the industry.

    Cons

Everyone is working at break neck speed just to get their job done. It is clear that Takeda want to be with the big boys of the industry, but on a very lean work force. Constant moaning from employees about how much work they have to do. Not very intergrated in some areas of the business. Big turn over of staff. Lots of people in their first year of Employment still. People leaving on a weekly basis. Training is rubbish.

    Advice to Management

Look at your exhausted work force. You cannot keep the pace up on such a lean work force. You have a lot of fairly new staff, but some of them are already moaning. If you want to be up with the Big Boys of the industry then invest in IT systems that work, and are universal, and are set in place on arrival of your first working day.Work at retaining your staff. Too many managers and not enough Indians. Training is a big joke. It done as and when someone has time. A radical shake up is required from the top.

I have been working at Takeda Pharmaceuticals full-time

    Pros

Salary and benefits good. Flexibility in terms of home-working. Great central location. In general, staff easy going and HR very approachable

    Cons

Not enough professional development though this will depend on one's manager. Too much centralised control in Boston office. Lack of transparency. Top heavy company.

    Advice to Management

Recognise your N-1 talents and abilities. Personal development plans are written to be read! Be more transparent about what is happening in company. Have regular meetings to inform group of what is happening within and between functions. Improve communication!

I have been working at Takeda Pharmaceuticals full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Some key issues have been recognised

    Cons

Strategic plans to implement will not achieve what senior management desire as there is no coordination, and all strategic positions are moving to the US (a model used before which was a car crash). Nothing innovative!

    Advice to Management

Stop thinking that by reverting back to a US centric model that this will save the company. Talent is worldwide, use it!
