I have been working at Takshashila

    Pros

There is literally no pros of working in this organization. It is advised to avoid it.

    Cons

All the positive reviews are fake and employees have been made to write it. No accommodation is provided for client side. Notice period for employees is 90 days and for employer, it is 60 days. There is no criteria for variable pay. This is no wonder that they do not have even a single employee from top college.

I have been working at Takshashila

    Pros

Have been working at Taskhashila for more than a year and have worked on projects spanning across different industries. Client engagements last from few months to a year giving diverse exposure as one gets to interact with senior stakeholders/ CxO’s. Almost always there are exciting challenges to be solved at client site and you realize that you are part of a crucial unit for the client. There are various projects and opportunities both in India and overseas where you can get into provided you are willing to put extra hours to take up more challenges. You are given resources and training on job to be successful.

    Cons

Not a place for people who seek comfortable job because Takshshila will give opportunities with exciting challenges ranging from business problem to transformation.

I have been working at Takshashila full-time for less than a year

    Pros

For somebody looking to get a jumpstart to your career, TKC offers you numerous opportunities to push yourself to learn. Some truly differentiating aspects about TKC: - Proven Partners from reputed Strategy Consulting firms( McKinsey, Bain, KPMG, Accenture,TAS,etc.) -Esteemed set of clientele (spread across sectors such as Manufacturing, Digital Media, Telecom, Healthcare, Education, Politics, etc.) -Wonderful peer group (smartest bunch of people; mix of undergrads and post-grads from IITs, IIMs,XLRI, SRCC, Stephens', etc. -True zeal to make something big (unlike big consulting firms like Capgemini or Accenture where the people are put on bench for an enormous amount of time, here at TKC, you will be loaded with work; shuttled from one project to the next with 0 bench time) -Opportunity to work with CXOs and take on responsibilities at an early level (even in McKinsey, the analysts are not given front-end exposure until 2-3 years; TKC however is an equal opportunity company I would say that it epitomizes the spirit of Capitalism to the fullest; either you forge your own path or perish in the flames; TKC is not for the tender-hearted cry-babies with little stomach for rigors of Corporate lives; If you consider yourself a smart, savvy individual looking to make it big in the Corporate world, TKC gives you the chance to do that at an early stage)

    Cons

Obviously in a firm which is looking to grow exponentially, performance is bound to be something that you will be judged on a day-to-day basis. Stress levels will be abnormally high; Like in any startup, it will take time for processes to be put in place; so unlike established brands, you might be asked to take on other responsibilities such as team building, assist with team work of other projects and the like. Join only if you are of calm temperament, have a zeal to make it big and have commitment to put in smart and hard work.

I worked at Takshashila full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The only thing that is good about this company is, the opportunity to work with CXO/CEO's at a very early stage of your career.

    Cons

Since the MD micromanages each and every small thing in every employee's life, I would also like to answer this in the same manner: A. Work-life balance: If you are thinking about being a part of Takshashila Consulting, be prepare to spend 18-20 hours in office everyday, even when there is no work. People are asked to come to office at 6 AM in the morning and not leave by 1 AM. The "So Called Trainings" are scheduled at 6 AM on a Sunday morning, so that the only single day of your whole week, which is suppose to be yours, can be screwed. What do you eat, where do you eat, when do you sleep, how do you sleep, each and every small detail of your life is controlled by the MD. B. Time-off/ Leave policy: You can't take a leave, no matter what until and unless some major screw-up has happened in your life. There is no concept of CL/PL or paid leaves. C. Poor leadership with extremely high expectations from employees: As these people sell themselves by saying they are Mckinsey Ver2.0, you're expected to deliver Mckinsey level outputs since your very first day without no training what so ever. Engagement managers are asked to or made to make their team member's life hell and not help them in any manner but to just shout and throw work at the analysts/associates. D. Extremely high attrition rate: 95% of the people who join Takshashila leave within 3-4 months of their employment. When you leave their is no standard policy for your full and final settlement. The moment these people get a hint that you might leave, they'll put a hold onto your salary and try to make you stay by doing so. E. For females: MD has no respect what so ever for females. As a female you'll be forced to drink at the "Team Outings". There is no concept of personal space or privacy for females. F. Compensation: No matter what your on-paper salary is you won't be getting more than 60% of that. Hikes are just on paper and a formality.
