    Cons

    1. Takahashila has a setup of smaller company, adapting as it grows so kindest of polished corporate setup with rigid processes and dedicated teams for internal tasks might Not work 2. Long working hours which is given for any consulting firm

I worked at Takshashila full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Challenging engagements, good learning, put u in client facing roles right from the beginning if u do well. I got to lead the engagement for my client right after the first month of joining!

    Cons

long working hours which are synonymous to any consulting firm. 6- day working and you might need to work on Sundays if required. But that is very rare.

    I worked at Takshashila

    Pros

"Anything that doesn't kill you makes you stronger" This is the only positive that you can think of if you've spent a few months in this god forsaken firm. In my experience, some people in the client teams were really fun to work with and I learnt a lot from them, which is what made the experience bearable before I realised I was killing myself.

    Cons

Won't even attempt to structure a point-wise analysis of why working with them is the worst that can happen to your professional and personal lives.

I have been working at Takshashila

    Pros

Opportunity of engagement with CXO level clients if quality of work and unnecessary long hours do not bother you; Exceptional co-workers in the past

    Cons

Corporate strategy: Runs on the whims and fancies of one man and his inner coterie of females like a kirana store. Business development: Not based on sales pitches made by consultants/ partners but winning over the potential clients with unspeakable measures (why do you think the females are so favored) Intrusive policies: Excessive micro-management by the managing partner combined with efforts to control the personal lives of the employees. Most notable of all recent such measures - installation of an app (used for tracking of sales reps and logistics) on the phones of consultants Prevalent innuendos: The core team (as they like to call themselves) does not refrain from encouraging female employees from going out with key clients if that will result in getting more business. Inappropriate comments are a daily occurrence not only directed against female company employees but even female clients or anyone for that matter No meritocracy: Undergrads out of DU (females) and people with no experience of client work whatsoever dictate terms to people with corporate/ consulting experience (IITs/ IIMs). Only consulting company in the world where people with exclusively administrative/ facility management experience can be made delivery managers for key engagements. Quality of work: The high quality of work being harped upon is restricted to running war rooms and delivering reports. One instance: Saw an IIM-C guy once entering data into an excel template reading from hard-copy reports sent by the departments of client companies. Quality of people: The past has seen all quality people move out of the company/ forced out of the company by illogical policies. Barring a few, the current crop of employees are not fit for even line jobs, let alone consulting. Like the managing partner, their consulting know how is restricted to cliched statements and recreating slides from paper. Also, this is the only consulting company which hires exclusively from LSR, DU. One of the recent instances - mass resignation of 10 employees on a single day - a record of some sorts. Self-praise masqueraded as trainings: Every Sunday so-called trainings are organised which claim that story-lining, advanced excel, problem solving will be taught. The only knowledge that you gain from these trainings is about the exploits of the managing partner and how great he is. Poor management: All problems - client or otherwise are dealt with most non-sensical resolutions possible. The three negative reviews on this site were countered by the managing partner and his girls making some employees write positive reviews about the company before letting them start on client deliverables for the day (look at the date of all positive reviews) False promises, incorrect compensation, high attrition rate and non-existent HR policies have already been described by other reviewers.
