I have been working at Talen Energy full-time

    Pros

Balance of responsibility to total compensation is strong. Some positions have greater freedom than others.

    Cons

Many employees breed a culture of negativity. However, many concerns are unfounded while others have merit. I would not discourage anyone from working for Talen Energy.

I worked at Talen Energy full-time

    Pros

You get to work with some brilliant people, but unfortunately they don’t stick around long.

    Cons

Meetings focus more on slamming other internal departments and leaders than moving forward and getting things done. Tons of drama and backstabbing from department heads.

I worked at Talen Energy full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

No pros I can think of at this time

    Cons

Worked at Bayonne plant maintaining plant for customer. Told plant would be closing and if we were offered a position with the customer and turned it down , we would not get severance pay . It was given to upper management even though they would not work for customer. Corporate management pretends to care but when it comes down to it , its all about business, they could care less about you. No loyalty at all! Did not even assist in helping to find us another position. Some people had to sell their homes and relocate, others with children in college had no ways to pay their tuitions or even their own mortgages.

    Advice to Management

Your employees are why you are successful, treat employees like people. Grow a heart and stop acting like unfeeling robots!
