    Pros

SaaS and Talent Management Leader. Innovative, focused, agressive and driven management. Generous Perfomance based compensation. Opportunity for advancement for self-starters. Mostly very competent, bright colleagues. Increasingly global focus.

    Cons

Increasingly hierarchical corporate structure. Poor internal customer support. Poor employee onboarding, training and ongoing support. To be succesful you have to be independent, entrepreneurial and experienced. No formal career development, veteran's often passed over for management position in favor of new outside talent.

    Advice to Management

Invest more in customer service training and overall services delivery.

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

One of the leading on demand software companies with a blue chip customer base. Company is public and stock has been doing fairly well this year, with positive analyst ratings.

    Cons

Upper management treats employees poorly which is ironic given that they are in the HR space. Compensation strategy is to pay only at mid point, they are very stingy with stock options so only officers of the company make good money, while the rest of the employees make so-so money. CEO is tyranical and makes it a practice to publicly humiliate people in meetings.

    Advice to Management

Practice what you preach to your customers, talent is your best asset so take good care of it.

I worked at Taleo full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good work life balance. Everyone on the support team is there only from 8 to 5pm.

    Cons

Overall very low morale on team-mates
    Non existent training
Extremely dissatisfied customers to deal with

    Advice to Management

Prepare your people properly before sending them to support clients.
The software itself is amazingly buggy (I was there on 2011). FIX IT!
The support senior and medium management is worthless. They have no clue what is going on with the clients.

    Pros

Pay, benefits package, flexibility! In the public eye Taleo has a good reputation from clients. However chalk that up to a great marketing team!

    Cons

Taleo's software is supposed to help companies from large to small hire and retain employees effectively! Unfortunately they don't practice what they preach!

    Advice to Management

Follow your own advice and what you sell. People are not expendable, this their life you play games with. If your a bottom line company that's fine but don't sugarcoat things to make it seem that it isn't all that matters!

    Pros

A wonderful bunch of normal staff to work with, lots of exposure to new technologies, very wide variety of responsibilities that people can be exposed to.

    Cons

Poor leadership, no clear direction for the company, indecision from senior management and no vision to grow the business from the leaders.
