I worked at Talk Fusion full-time

    Pros

Worked at Talk Fusion a few years ago and the atmosphere was light and fun. There was a lot of interaction between departments and plenty of laughter when working together on projects. It was fast paced and I enjoyed my time there.

    Cons

    I didn't have any cons

Only want you to recruit people

    Cons

This company is horrible. People show up in business suits pretending to be rich while getting you to believe you can "grow your business." You are not trained to sell products, you are training to recruit people. Everyone is all motivated and willing to help before you join, but after that, they could care less because they just want to get more people. The upline was horrible and only wanted you to get people into the business. What a joke of a company.

I worked at Talk Fusion full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - We could always choose the tools we wanted in order to get the job done (frameworks, languages, etc)
    - There was freedom of hours to avoid traffic, but also with going to dr's appointments, or anything else.
    - There was lots of opportunity for input on design, and lots of ownership for implementing new features.
    - The general tech stack is very up to date, and allows for using newer tooling to get work done more effectively. There is also a huge push to modernize all of the products, so you get to have a lot of say in how thats done.

    Cons

    - Some of the legacy software is a burden to maintain; the old data structures were poorly designed, so naming on tables / columns is extremely cumbersom.
    - There is an extremely tight requirement to keep legacy databases and apis around since it would be almost impossible to remove from the system. The programming is brittle, and generally causes a headache if you have to interface with it.

    Advice to Management

    - Invest in rewriting legacy systems, and making a push to remove all of the old cumbersome, unstable, code. This will allow the company's development to grow further.

I worked at Talk Fusion full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    They pay you on time.

    Cons

I would rather starve to death than to ever work at Talk Fusion again. Because if you work there, you're going to wish you were dead! If you're a masochist who enjoys almost daily verbal abuse, work at Talk Fusion. If you enjoy being scolded over faux crises that don't even matter, you should work there. And don't even think about being late or leaving early, unless you like being humiliated in front of your coworkers and made an example of. Work-life balance? Kiss that goodbye! And don't even try calling in sick. You literally have to show up to work ill and physically prove to them you are sick to be allowed to take the day off and avoid being verbally annihilated for calling in sick. By the way: must love dogs! Really, dogs matter more than people at Talk Fusion, and if you want to keep your job you better show them you love dogs, or else! Pay no attention to the positive reviews. They're forcefully written by employees to counter the negative ones aka the real ones. How this company is still in business with all the abuse that happens behind the scenes is a miracle of ... something!

    Advice to Management

Aren't you getting tired of having to hire new people over and over and over and over again? How about you learn how to treat people with dignity and respect? Who knows, aside from your dedicated masochistic brainwashed minions, maybe you'll be able to retain good people for the long run and not keep getting slammed by reviews like this one.

I worked at Talk Fusion full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They'll tell you that company trips to "exotic" places around the world are a benefit - but they have been described by employees "lucky" enough to be chosen as punishment rather than rewards.

    Cons

Highly toxic work environment. Know up front that it is an MLM company with a video email and video meeting product that no one wants... better, more well-known products are available for free.

The office is full of constant drama. Very little praise ever given... management prefers to assign public blame rather than solve problems. The owner, a former sheriff's deputy who talks about that all the time, has little respect for people working for him... either at the office or the associates who sell the company's products.

He constantly changes his mind on huge projects, blaming the employees for his choices and not reading his mind. It's only a matter of time before he is publicly spotlighted by the #MeToo movement... there are more women than men in the office because the owner finds it easier to intimidate them. Many times women in the office were made to cry.

Employees are expected to literally applaud and cheer when watching marketing videos or when the owner makes an announcement... if you don't, the entire office will often have their jobs threatened for "lack of enthusiasm" - regardless what job function you have there.

Full-time employees are expected to volunteer to work more than 40 hours per week without extra pay or be humiliated in front of the entire office for their lack of company spirit.

Warning - the company loves to bring in trial employees from job agencies but - despite getting along well with fellow employees and even getting praise for your work - you can be dropped at a whim with no review or notice days before you complete your trial period and become full time.

There was overwhelming romantic drama in the office between members of management and the owner - that resulted in yelling, doors slamming, public shaming, and more.

It's a small office, so there is literally no opportunity for career growth. Turnover is incredibly high, morale is incredibly low... when the owner comes in, employees basically cower, hoping he's not in a "bad mood."

When negative reviews appear on Glassdoor, the owner will threaten to sue the site to find out who posted the review and then insist that current employees write favorable reviews to offset them.

Please pay attention to the reviews on this site before working there. Former employees say they are much much much happier after they left.

    Advice to Management

Recognize that you are the reason why things fail at that company. Stop blaming and shaming employees and accept your own responsibility. You do not have a good reputation in the industry and if you treated humans half as well as you treat animals, the work environment would be drastically better.

I worked at Talk Fusion full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Competitive salaries (above the normal rate in many positions), possible exotic company trips, beautiful office space. Founder and CEO, Bob Reina, has the biggest heart when it comes to animals. His dog, Bindi, roaming the office is a definite plus and a wonderful de-stressor. Fantastic, cutting-edge product. The company is very financially stable and debt-free. Great MLM opportunity for an Associate - instant pay for sales, etc.

    Cons

Certain members of the management staff allow their personal life to influence their attitude toward others. Lots of yelling at (and sometimes demeaning) staff about what they may have done "wrong" or not to management's liking. It's a tough place to work if you take things personally.

Sadly, there is very little recognition of what people are doing right. It is a very demanding work environment where employees are constantly expected to go above and beyond, yet management is almost always highly critical of their efforts. You are always expected to do more and good rarely seems to be good enough.

    Advice to Management

"You catch more flies with honey than vinegar." Less criticism of employees and more accolades can lead to a happier staff, greater productivity, and less turnover. Curb the temper and personal histrionics. It is not the great place to work you may think and it has a bad reputation for abusing the staff and Associates. That is not a good thing!

Be more cognizant of how you treat and speak to staff, as well as the Associates. People don't like to be yelled at. It scares them and doesn't motivate them. You can't threaten or frighten people into doing better!

    Pros

Your coworkers there are, generally, very nice and down-to-earth people. Incredibly productive office with opportunity to grow.

    Cons

Abysmal management. This was some of the hardest, most drama-ridden, stressful managers I ever worked for. Mood swings from day to day, constant chastisement to do better, even when you're slaving away on multiple projects for 40+ hours a week.

    Advice to Management

Learn the difference between scathing empty criticism and constructive criticism that'll actually help your employees GROW. Don't call out/shame employees in front of others (especially those not even in their department).
