I worked at Talk Fusion full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Good rapport with independent contractors

    Cons

Worse management, horrible micromanagement, long grueling extra hours for same pay, expected to work nonestop, including weekends and holidays and no appreciation whatsoever. Overworked and constantly told not doing enough. Company growing - means more work load, more support emails to handle but so called management, including so called owner/CEO refuses to acknowledge and hire more help to balance work load. So called owner needs to pull his head off his backend, realize dogs are dogs and humans are humans. Dogs are treated more respectfully, well catered for and spent millions of dollars on, while hardworking employees that bring in the millions are treated like animals and made to attend dog functions with so called CEO or get fired.

    Advice to Management

Pull your heads off your backends! Hire professionals management for CEO and entire management. Let them focus on the betterment of the company and employee retension, so you can focus on your worshipping and serving dogs.

I have been working at Talk Fusion full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Accomplished and hard-working co-workers with thick skin. Don't expect to have time-off when you want it, but do expect to work overtime and weekends, although it might not be mentioned to you prior to joining.

    Cons

Staff fear being reprimanded regularly for faux crises and surprise issues. Management's personal romantic relationship dramas are brought into the work environment. Although the messaging claims to offer that as an Associate you will enjoy freedom from working 40 hours, and live a luxury lifestyle while being your own boss -it is not a true. The CEO will insult you and yell at you to work harder, during weekly live broadcasts for those who achieve a Diamond rank or above. This is not a motivational call, but an opportunity for the CEO to vent his anger, it is a bashing session of mostly innocent bystanders.

    Advice to Management

Professionally educate upper management about sexual harassment and employment law. Bring in certified expert training methodologies to implement processes; rather than continuing to wing-it and change the rules based on the mood or fear of condemnation from the CEO.

    Pros

    Pay was decent. Nothing else!

    Cons

Abusive CEO. Poor management. Low morale. No work-life balance. Cult-like atmosphere. Ridiculously high turnover: about 14 employees quit or got fired in the short time I worked there. More than 90 people have quit or gotten fired from that company since 2007. You will hate your life. Dogs are more important than people. CEO is an arrogant and abusive misogynist.

    Advice to Management

How about you stop treating your employees like garbage and start treating them like people?

    Pros

Your coworkers there are, generally, very nice and down-to-earth people. Incredibly productive office with opportunity to grow.

    Cons

Abysmal management. This was some of the hardest, most drama-ridden, stressful managers I ever worked for. Mood swings from day to day, constant chastisement to do better, even when you're slaving away on multiple projects for 40+ hours a week.

    Advice to Management

Learn the difference between scathing empty criticism and constructive criticism that'll actually help your employees GROW. Don't call out/shame employees in front of others (especially those not even in their department).

I worked at Talk Fusion full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Competitive salaries (above the normal rate in many positions), possible exotic company trips, beautiful office space. Founder and CEO, Bob Reina, has the biggest heart when it comes to animals. His dog, Bindi, roaming the office is a definite plus and a wonderful de-stressor. Fantastic, cutting-edge product. The company is very financially stable and debt-free. Great MLM opportunity for an Associate - instant pay for sales, etc.

    Cons

Certain members of the management staff allow their personal life to influence their attitude toward others. Lots of yelling at (and sometimes demeaning) staff about what they may have done "wrong" or not to management's liking. It's a tough place to work if you take things personally.

Sadly, there is very little recognition of what people are doing right. It is a very demanding work environment where employees are constantly expected to go above and beyond, yet management is almost always highly critical of their efforts. You are always expected to do more and good rarely seems to be good enough.

    Advice to Management

"You catch more flies with honey than vinegar." Less criticism of employees and more accolades can lead to a happier staff, greater productivity, and less turnover. Curb the temper and personal histrionics. It is not the great place to work you may think and it has a bad reputation for abusing the staff and Associates. That is not a good thing!

Be more cognizant of how you treat and speak to staff, as well as the Associates. People don't like to be yelled at. It scares them and doesn't motivate them. You can't threaten or frighten people into doing better!
