I have been working at Talkspace part-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Able to work independently and make your own schedule.

    Cons

It's difficult to get new clients and obtain transfer clients - it's not evenly distributed.
There are several periods of time with audio/video is unavailable, which upsets clients.
The "voluntary coaching" really is not voluntary.

    Advice to Management

It is absolutely frustrating when you get on people-space and the clients aren't distributed evenly or even to the first person to respond. If an "expert" of member of the leadership team pops on and says that they are available, guess who gets the client??
The "independent licenses" are still not looked at and you have therapists getting clients in states that they are licensed in , but not at the "highest" level or with the license that deems you as an independent provider that doesn't require a clinical residency or supervision.

I have been working at Talkspace part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

flexible schedule, work from home, decent number of referrals, really meaningful work and reaching clients that might not otherwise seek therapy

    Cons

Pay is embarrassingly low. While they are increasing pricing in the future and compensation will also increase, there are no increases for therapists who have had long-term clients. Leadership does not answer questions but will direct you to search through disorganized materials to find the answer yourself. Therapists are expected to keep current on company policies which are ever changing.

    Advice to Management

Doesn't it look a little sketchy that many of the positive reviews here are all written on about the same day?

I have been working at Talkspace part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I live being able to stay home and not stop helping people clinically. I did not know this was even possible and I am so glad I saw an ad on FB for talkspace and decided to check it out. I have enjoyed that there is a team to work with, you can be involved as you want to or just hang out and work with clients and watch the other counselors from the sidelines. There are people to reach out to when you need help and there is clinical help when you need it. That is a big deal!! And when you reach out for help, someone is there to help that day.

    Cons

Interview was long and tedious, it felt over the top but after being through it I can now see the point of it all. It really does open your eyes to using a new medium to do something you area already comfortable with. It is hard to go back to be managed in that way but now that I am on the other side, I think it makes a lot of sense.
