I have been working at Tampa General Hospital full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

There is a good leadership structure which is highly engaged. It's big enough that you can't know everyone but small enough that you feel like you know almost everyone - at least in certain departments and in leadership. The company is general very stable, wins awards, and invests well. Many families work there and benefits are good.

    Cons

There has been a lot of change over the past couple years which is moving to a new strategic plan which makes sense. The challenge has been constant change in an already overloaded environment while keeping the business going. Good teamwork and strong relationships make this work so it isn't all bad though.

I worked at Tampa General Hospital full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Competitive salary for the area, good benefits overall. PTO really starts to accrue the longer you are there. Many people with 400+ hours of PTO. IT is located off campus but close to downtown Tampa and the hospital.

    Cons

IT leadership is gun shy to innovate on their own because there are a lot of unplanned outages and people are afraid of getting fired by the next screw up. Lots of turnover of staff.
