    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Tampa General Hospital full-time for more than a year

    Pros

benefits, sometimes they give you meal tickets to the cafeteria.

    Cons

nurses and doctors abuse patient transporters and will treat you like a second class citizen, TGH loves there doctors and nurses and will say it 100 times over, but supporting departments (environmental services, patient transport, dietary) gets no love and gets verbal abuse from nurses and they treat you like your expendable and worthless. the pay is garbage for supporting departments (but better believe they take care of their nurses and doctors!) if you're not coming in here with a degree, don't come at all. The things they will do to you will not be worth the low pay they give.

I have been working at Tampa General Hospital full-time

    Pros

New CEO has a great vision for the hospital's future.

    Cons

Low pay, disconnected management. They want to take this hospital to the next level but the consistantly hire medical coders with little or no experience. People from other departments are being recruited that haven't even gone to coding school! Promises made, promises broken. If you are looking for a coding opportunity, stay far away from this hospital, they wont pay you what you're worth!
