    Pros

You never feel like just a number, every employee strives to work as a team. Competitive wages. Awesome benefits. Four years & zero complaints.

    Cons

Like every Healthcare company the administrative side has no idea what goes on in the patient care aspect which causes some stupid things to happen. However, even considering that I love my job.

    Great benefits

    Pros

Great pay and benefits. Good profit sharing plan and 403b. Gobs of time off.

    Cons

Antiquated leadership structure. Onboarding process is basically non-existent. I was told to wander around for about 6 months and I would "figure it out." I never had a coaching session in the 18 months I was employed there. If you don't fit in with their "Natives can do no wrong" culture, they will drop you like a hot rock. No counseling, no warning, no attempts to correct actions or help you fit in. Just a letter of termination. I wouldn't tell people not to work here, you just need to realize that no one there is your friend. There are no safe spaces and no room for error in dealing with the native Alaskans. The Natives own the corporation and they can do no wrong. If anything goes awry, the non-native will have to take the blame. So have a good emergency fund put aside (easy to do with the gobs of money this corporation wastes) and have a back-up plan.

    Pros

Depending on your manager you will either have a pleasant working experience or be the scape goat.

    Cons

HR Department will do the bare minimum and they will look to terminate unless you have a good supervisor that will advocate for you.

    Will Crush Your Soul

    Pros

Good pay and benefits, that is how they get/keep you.

    Cons

Literally everything. Poor management, no accountability, nepotism/favoritism, policies are in place simply to be broken.

    Has potential

    Pros

Good opportunities to further education, you can fake it and just go along to get along until you find something better and no one would care

    Cons

Poor interdepartmental communications, nepotism, some workplace bullying, fake it til you make it and nepotistic promoting is probably the biggest problem. Seagal type management that only engages subordinates after something negatively impacts Management's image, takes an act of Congress for a decision to be finalized, knee jerk decision making, since it is a nonprofit the pace is sloooow since there isn't really any incentive for strong work ethic

    Pros

TCC really cares about the employees. They offer great benefits, paid time off, and holidays. Staff are very supportive of each other.

    Cons

I think there are challenges every place you work. One thing I noticed is it can take awhile to get things approved.

    Alaskan Native Non Profit Organization

    Pros

Excellent Organization to work for. Opportunity to work directly for the Alaskan Native people. Opportunities to learn and grow personally and professionally. An atmosphere of belonging and the feeling of making a difference. The people of this organization treat you like family and mentor as such. This is a great place to work and make a positive difference in the lives of others.

    Cons

As in any large organization, sometimes bad apples make it through the screening process due to limited applicants for required positions. But in all cases, these people do not make it for long in this organization.
