I worked at Tango full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There are some really sharp people there. They have a good product, a good market position, and a good chance of a profitable exit.

    Cons

Twelve plus hours a day. No work from home. Be to work by 9am, company mandatory meetings held at 8pm. You'll be pulled onsite for many weekends too.

    unlimited PTO

    Cons

no life outside work. Starting around 9am, Leaving around 8pm, Logging in back on around 11pm , 1-2 weekends required every other month.
I'm not sure how one can get unlimited PTO with this work schedule.
No WFH although HR says employee can WFH

    Advice to Management

They are doing great job, but employees will be burnt out. Work-life balance is a serious culture problem here.

    Pros

The company offers interesting problems to solve if you're interested in getting experience in mobile applications software development/operations: Android/iPhone/ mobile platforms, high volume transaction processing, big data - it's all there.

    Cons

The company is still in a start-up stage, but has lots of rules and regulations which paired with strange culture of distrust and total control produces a very unique environment. It reminds of a galley where rowers are not respected but considered a disposable resource.

    Pros

-Great team with really smart engineers
    -Interesting product and explosive growth

    Cons

    -NO w/l balance
    -Long work hours are required
-Upper management has no vision and treats employees like indentured servants - no respect or trust by upper management although the company values are passion drive and trust
-Not great compensation, especially stock for newer employees
-Unlimited PTO is a joke as you are never able to take any time off

    Advice to Management

    Replace all of them

    Pros

Lots of great people, exciting product, really good support team

    Cons

I never had any experiences with middle-management lying or anything like that. In fact, I felt like everyone was really fair and open

    Advice to Management

Keep the positive environment. Since people are complaining about the w/l ratio (I have been in other tech companies in the silicon valley and trust me they are worse!) , maybe have some more activities to do.

    Pros

    Amazingly strong technical team
    Ground-breaking cutting edge mobile technologies
    Great product, loved by millions
Amazing market opportunity at the intersection of the most important trends in the hi-tech industry
    Strong performance is rewarded
Nice employee perks, such as company-subsidized back-massage, 3 free meals from local restaurants per day, basketball, wine tastings, etc...

    Cons

Working hard is part of the culture. It's not a 9-5 type of job. So if you want a comfy job, it's not for you.
Space is limited, but the company is moving to a much larger space at the end of 2012.

    Advice to Management

Thank you for creating and guiding such a great company.
