I have been working at Tangoe full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Some good workers, decent pay and PTO

    Cons

Lets start simply - reviews on Glassdoor for Tangoe are constantly disappearing while they do not violate the TOS of Glassdoor or call out anyone by name.
The new CEO is definitely out of touch with reality. While the whole of the company is and will be dealing with constant layoffs for the foreseeable future, the company's leader spends his time talking about family and fun. There's a serious issue here considering the majority of employees, if not yet gone, are more concerned of their future rather than some useless family chatter. The Parent company Marlin hasn't a clue what they're dealing with and are making poor choices as to the future of the company. Upper management in the technology area, especially in the Northeast offices treat their subordinates rather poorly, and there is no one left to keep them under watch. Some very close scrutiny of their behavior is recommended. Morale is at a historical low, and there is nothing being done to curb turnover.

    Advice to Management

Don't delete glassdoor posts because they arent sugar coated and created by HR.
Close scrutiny/review of management at upper levels needs to happen - it may already be too late. A down to earth CEO is necessary - not someone flinging cotton candy and popcorn while fire and brimstone rain down upon the hard workers. Keep your family photos on instagram, not in company emails.

Thank you for your review. Its true, Tangoe has gone through a lot this past year but with the recent acquisition, integration with Asentinel and stronger management team, there is a profound focus... More

I worked at Tangoe full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great co-workers, first line manager, and some interesting customer projects.

    Cons

Inept middle management, lots of people in Tangoe with inflated job titles that had no outside Tangoe experience and clearly didn't have depth of skills. lack of clear direction on projects and leadership meant projects I worked on consistently missed deadlines. No clear path for career advancement. While I was there, I never had a formal review. Pay raises were non existent during my tenure. Most of my co-workers left rather then trying to fight the Tangoe establishment of "That's the way we do it here" culture.

    Advice to Management

Tangoe has now been taken private and all the executive leadership has changed. Hopefully the new owners at Marlin will continue cleaning house and get rid of bad middle management and look outside of Tangoe for new leadership. Listen to some of your acquired merger talent, you have folks sidelined who are more skilled then long term Tangoe employees who were there from the start. Tangoe can be a success but you have to overhaul the culture first.

I worked at Tangoe full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They organize a rotation of food trucks twice a week, so some of the best food comes directly to you.

    Cons

You will have more bosses than you can count. Only one boss will know the details of the work you do, if you are lucky. There will be practically zero training. You will hear from no one, unless something has gone wrong. but don't worry, things go wrong constantly. You may be blamed for the thing that went wrong. You will have nothing to do with the thing that went wrong.

    Advice to Management

Please learn the details of the work of your employees! and if you can't do that, do not offer to help. It will ring disingenuous every time, and your employees will resent you.
