I have been working at Tanknology full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

very family minded and supportive, good medical benefits, good open door, small company feel for some things.

    Cons

low compensation, no bonuses for IT, 401k "matching" is laughable, no recognition for going over and beyond call of duties, going over and beyond will become expectation without compensation, entry level compensation but expect high quality experience.

I have been working at Tanknology full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

For me it's a "feel-good" job - the company provides compliance testing and inspections on underground and aboveground storage tanks, to make sure they aren't leaking or out of compliance. There's lot of camaraderie among employees - many folks around country have been working here for years. Pay is pretty good - and can be very good for high-achievers. There are opportunities to advance, especially if you are willing to relocate. There's good training for field technicians, and trucks/tools/equipment provided. Field technicians are often able to live in remote areas (but may drive longer distances due to that).

    Cons

It's a service industry, and many jobs are high-stress and demand hard work and continued focus. You have to keep up with everything and not drop any balls or else clients can get fines. There's pretty high turnover among field technicians, mostly if they can't deal with the travel demands, and they probably have more responsibilities (and associated tasks) than some other companies.

    Cons

See above. Pushed to the limits of DOT regulations. Gone all week every week monday through friday and sometimes more for not thepay it should be considering what is asked of you.

I have been working at Tanknology full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

My experience at Tanknology has been very positive. Employees receive extensive on the job training, and the company places a high emphasis on safety. The company provides a vehicle and all necessary tools to complete the job. The job often requires a fair amount of travel and work expectations are high, but employees are compensated well for their efforts. Management at all levels seems to care about the employees, and calls from the CEO to field technicians just to check in are not surprising here.

    Cons

Overnight travel might be difficult for some, but management is very upfront about travel expectations during interviews.

    Neutral Outlook

I have been working at Tanknology full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

A great place to start a career. Training is top notch. Tanknology prides itself on being the largest compliance testing company for underground storage tanks in the United States.

    Cons

Turnover is high due to travel of technicians. Pay is average but is based on your own performance because it is a salary position plus bonus per job. Work is difficult because of working outside in the elements and dealing with underground piping and tanks.
