I worked at Tanner Health System full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Decent benefits, but insurance plan could be better considering it is a hospital. 401K matching is good. That is really it.

    Cons

Pay is a joke. I easily got a similar job with another company that paid better.

They once closed an entire department for sketchy reasons and laid off all of the employees only to reopen it 6 months later. After that, it felt like there was no job security. Not a fun environment.

Management used to care about employee satisfaction and patient care. Things were so much better back then. Now, they only care about money. They bleed the Medicaid and Medicare systems by keeping patients longer than necessary. They claim their employee satisfaction surveys are anonymous but they are not.

    Advice to Management

Get back to caring about your employees as people and not revenue generating machines who should be grateful you allow them to work for you.

I worked at Tanner Health System full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Pretty good benefits, They put forth a good image especially with their talk of the Tanner Way. Unfortunately, it's all talk.

    Cons

Only cares about census numbers, not appropriateness of care or the safety of patients or staff, favoritism shown in staff, overwhelming work expectations

    Advice to Management

Put patients first regardless of census, management care more about the welfare of staff and patients

I have been working at Tanner Health System full-time

    Pros

Great coworkers. We are fully staffed with dieitians, but may have one opening soon when 1 dieitian leaves to go out of state.
Great staff to work with in the hospital. All of the nurses, dietary, and custodial staff are all extremely friendly.
    Good sized office space.
Pay is much better than anywhere else I had applied to before I got this job. I had read a review from last year that said pay was terrible for this position, and I was turned off at first. Once I decided to apply and talked to HR I was very content and even a little surprised.
The CNM is great and organized and really let's us do our own thing for the most part. No "micro managing".
My experience has been great and nothing like the previous review that I read from last year.

    Cons

Workload can vary and you can be expected to stay late some days, but it's not the norm.

    Cons

The most unethical place I have ever worked they do not care about patients only $ would keep patients after Dr. Would say they could be released if their insurance would pay for more days angering psychotic patients more!

    Advice to Management

Just close this place if you honestly care about human beings!
