I have been working at Target part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Friendly environment and coworkers, managers are surprisingly understanding with various scheduling issues and supportive when any other issues arise.

    Cons

Culture seems to favor part-time employment even for many that want and are available to work full-time. As a result, those same part-time employees are not eligible for benefits.

    Advice to Management

Keep motivating the team by promoting manager leadership and address the issue of the part-time culture to gain and retain better quality employees with brand loyalty and better morale.

I worked at Target part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Easy job. A monkey could do it.

    Cons

Constantly being told what to do. The head cashier is always on your butt about standing at the end of the lane and to sell red cards. We couldn't even stand a minuet before they come and demand you to do something after handling 50 costumers. They don't care about the employe all they care about is being on your butt.

    Advice to Management

Show some compassion and stop annoying the cashiers to sell red cards. nobody wants the dam card and you annoy the coustomers by asking them over and over again.

I have been working at Target part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Everyone is friendly and helpful. Working on the flow team you have evenings and weekends off.

    Cons

Working on the flow team is a very physical job, I don't think you are compensated enough coming in as early as you do and for the amount of work you have to do in the little time you are scheduled to work. Also to get extra hours you have to either work past you scheduled time or cross train in other departments.

I worked at Target part-time for more than a year

    Pros

They work with you on your hours and they hire all types of people.

    Cons

They stress the cashiers out over getting credit/debit cards, if you do not get one by the end of your shift you are called into the office for a "talk". All they care about is you getting people to fill out applications don't care about anything but the conversion rate customer service is second to getting credit cards, customer complain all the time they are sick of being asked that every time. Advice to Management

Chill out on the total focus of working at Target is pimping your credit/debit cards all a cashier can do it ask in this economy people do not want more debt (besides 5% off and 22% interest do the math not a win for the customer a win for Target) makes for a very miserable place to work knowing that if you do not get a credit/debit application at the end of the day you will be called into the office for a talk for that,...
