I worked at Target full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pay is average for recent grads, 10% off shopping, store experiences, internal social network, online training

    Cons

There's so much gossip, but if you can live with that then maybe this is not much of a con.
There's really no career or learning path defined, just generic titles and pay grade bumps.
Slow start to becoming agile. It's mostly waterfall with weekly sit downs. There's not many experienced engineers that I've come across that can lead teams.
There's another layoff in January so joining this early is a bad idea. I have heard the word freeze used for months. We literally are just waiting it out. It's a great time to slack though.
You'll hear a lot of meaningless fluffy jargon.

    Advice to Management

    Sack your dead weight immediately

I worked at Target full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Great colleagues, collaborative environment

    Cons

Way behind from an IT perspective, ridiculous egos in corporate, annoying company culture

    Advice to Management

Fix the culture - trying to be hip and cool comes off an unauthentic. Also, be realistic - you're not going to beat Amazon or Walmart at what they do best anytime soon.
