I worked at Target full-time (More than 10 years)

    Cons

    Advice to Management

Fire them all... Horrible management. Suck up to them if you want to be treated right

    Pros

Chance to be aware of upcoming products.
Opportunity to work and train variety of people from diverse backgrounds.
Get to use analytical and organizational mindset in laying out work load and product organization.

    Cons

Bad work/life balance and compensation when working overnight.
Originally recruited for management training program, then all associated paperwork was lost and was sold on trying to "work my way up to management" by taking on logistics.
Promised to gradually train and learn the ropes alongside an existent logistics managing team, eventually to move to days...never happened and soon I was put in charge of process by myself.
Poor staffing meant many lost their drive because of burden and many had a second or third job.
Management embarked on a store expansion in spite of staffing issues and lack of training for new grocery aisles being created.

    Advice to Management

Develop a real active knowledge of the logistics process at all your stores....each store/region has its unique issues.
Have better rapport and support between the different departments and hold each rightly responsible for their workload and willing to assist everyone on the team regardless of shift.
