    Pros

In my personal experience at my store, I enjoyed working there. Made a lot of new friends and management was typically pretty laid back

    Cons

    It's retail...
    Pay could be better

I worked at Target part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent pay and opportunities to advance if you want to stay within the company. Everyone gets reviewed and receives a raise based on how well managers feel you did that year. I was "promoted" to Brand and loved it! My coworkers were great and became a small family to me.

    Cons

You're working retail, so as expected, customers can be horrible and rude. I did not like my LODs. Many of them were very stern and had favorites.

I have been working at Target part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Discounts at target and other companies
    Fun co-workers

    Cons

    Non-consistent schedule
    Short hours
    no benefits
    Bad communication

    Advice to Management

Train your employees please. I have worked at target sense graduating and while I am looking for work in my field. I have seen so many new hires hired and not trained which makes my job much harder in the backroom. Even when we explain this to our supervisor and higher management, nothing happens about it.

I have been working at Target part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Friendliness, high-class organization, well-respected

    Cons

At times, it can be difficult getting the necessary respect from guests because of the Target security breach.

    Advice to Management

Keep pushing the Target "vibe." Guests love dealing with friendly team members.

    Pros

Good first job. Great place to start working and gain work experience. I liked working there very much. Trained for other positions and gained more hours that way.

    Cons

A new manager came in that thought she was all that and cut my hours from 35 hours a week to 10 hours. When you have bills that means a lot. She was complained about non stop but nothing was ever done. A week after I quit and said I wasn't putting up with her anymore they fired her.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the employees more so than the management. If you have more than one associate saying the same thing about a particular manager chances are it's true.
