I worked at Target full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Tons of hours to work is available of you are a workaholic

    Cons

Supervisor called me on my day off to threaten me that I will lose my job if I don't come in, even though I wasn't scheduled for that day.

    Advice to Management

Respect your employees. Be helpful. Stop brainwashing them into treating customers like family but then treat employees like lowly commoners.

I worked at Target full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Job tasks aren't bad. Depending on hours worked, you get 1-2 15 minute breaks and an unpaid lunch.

    Cons

Specifically the Haverhill Target store: There is horrible harassment, mistreatment, and mismanagement of enforcing a safe work environment for employees. Different stores had to assist ours so the back room could comply with safety standards and be actually functional. After a day or two where the help stopped, it went back to being a mess and non-traversable. As for higher ups, I had been yelled at, humiliated,...

    Advice to Management

Learn to care about your employers. Don't guilt them for needing to call out or go home for physical or mental health concerns. Don't abuse them and have HR do nothing, as well as the integrity hotline do nothing either. Don't allow your employees to say homophobic or ableist things about other employees. Don't yell at new trainees that you never trained when they ask a completely reasonable question. These are people,...

I have been working at Target part-time for more than a year

    Pros

As a minor, I get pretty high pay - 12.50/hour as The employee discount works store-round, including Starbucks and Pizza Hut, which is pretty great

    Cons

Horrible LOD's, heard of one who called my coworker "retarded" Unreasonably high expectations set for us in softlines, worked all day on an area to perfect it just to be told it 'could be better' because a couple of hangers fell Major favoritism amongst the softlines team,

    Advice to Management

Don't lay off your seasonal employees without notice. I would rather be told I'm being laid off than be left guessing like I have for the past month now.

I worked at Target part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Pay was decent, no bonuses or anything but it was alright.

    Cons

I had major health concerns come up, and I was told that I couldn't take a leave of absence as I was so new. I was told I could terminate and come back when I was ready. So, I got better, two weeks later I call in to get back to work, and I was told I could have taken time off, and moreover, they had filled the position.

    Advice to Management

Be honest with your employees. Nothing sucks more than being told one thing and then having the complete opposite be reality.
