I have been working at Target full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Can grow with the company and transfer to any Target across the country. Can obtain knowledge about different processes through out the store. What you put in, is what you get back.

    Cons

At times can be very political. Sometimes skilled people with substance are overlooked for flash. This is expected, as alot of companies are similar.

    Advice to Management

Keep listening to the stores team members and leadership.

I have been working at Target part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The leadership is pretty good, and there is support within the team. The team leads look to you for support and safety

    Cons

The hours aren't favorable but it's what comes with the job early mornings and closings. Long periods of time where you are standing in a spot

    Advice to Management

I have been working at Target part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Some pros about target will be the people the pay and the OT advantage. The pay is ok my employers and fellow employees are good and the OT opertunities is great when you're cross trained.

    Cons

Some cons are you cannot get insurance unless you keep full time hours. Another is you can't go over 40hrs of work per week . One last one will be the discounts is limited.

    Advice to Management

My advice to the management at the establishment I work at will be to hire some ETLs and TL that actually care about the store and actually does the job correctly.

I worked at Target part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good pay, good hours (if hours aren't good it's temporary and across the board), ability to move up if you work for it. This job is great if you are in college and can easily brush off retail drama. Not a very stressful job at all.

    Cons

Some managers are childish and lack experience, recogniztion was strong when I was hired but became non existent other then random free food that wasn't rationed so everyone could have some. You'll end up doing a lot of others peoples work as there are a lot of lazy people in the company. Favoritism is very noticeable.

    Advice to Management

Stop the favoritism and set a positive example for staff. If you involve yourself in drama and petty antics so will the team members. Come to work, do your work, leave.
