I have been working at Target full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Team can make or break you.
Early hours to enjoy the rest of your day.
Don't really have to deal with a lot of guest.

    Cons

ETL's are either great or they really suck and shouldn't be in role.
I've noticed quite a bit or laziness from the ETL group which in turn rolls off on the team since their leadership isn't really worth anything,

I worked at Target part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It was usually fast paced, which was nice, but very, very boring if it was in the early mornings or evening. Co-workers were a blast to talk to and the general environment was friendly and easy to get along with.

    Cons

Starting at 9 an hour isn't very good when you're trying to cover bills, and it felt like there was absolutely no room for advancement and no way to get ahead, even if you were great at seasonal. Depending on who was managing the floor, you may or may not be allowed to work at the Guest Services Desk or Zone the merchandise floor. Slight inconsistencies in management. If you were part time you weren't guaranteed a minimum hours worked, if any at all. One week you get at least 40, then the next you're lucky to get 10. Impossible to plan anything outside of work with that kind of variety.

    Advice to Management

Let cashiers / Guest Services employees have the opportunity to cross train at different departments, even if it's just experience on a resume. Often times when it was slow, there was 3-5 cashiers standing idly.
