I worked at Target full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Pay, Flexibility, Hours and Learning Programs

    Cons

Job description was not accurate. Frustrating at times.

    Advice to Management

Hire a separate employee to re-shop and front products. If an employee is hired in the technology department and is also in charge of mobile tech they should not have to be spending long periods of time fronting and fixing the toy and seasonal isle.

Ability to make your own schedule, decent starting pay, good reputation in the loss prevention community.

    Cons

Raises are usually 30/40 cents per year, very statistics driven. If you don’t make apprehensions you will be terminated.

    Advice to Management

Allow more discretion for preventions, give more internal abilities to APS’.

I worked at Target part-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

    - friendly team members - clean store

    Cons

    - manipulative management - can't drink while on the sales floor (and called on walkies insistently if you step off to drink or use the bathroom)

    Advice to Management

I know a lot depends on the store, but management needs to be trained in terms of sensitivity/basic human functions at times. They often asked team members to complete jobs that were not their own (sometimes to make up for no-shows, sometimes because they didn't want to do their own work) and then scolded teams such as softlines for not having the store arranged, despite half of softlines being on the registers for most...

I worked at Target part-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Good hours for part time worth flexible and the ability to post for shift coverage

    Cons

Target needs to be more honest and forth coming with their seasonal hires. Yes , regardless of how hard you work, cover additional unscheduled hours to assist during the busy Christmas time. Report on time, show excellence in team effort this wil not be the determining factor as to whether you are asked to remain with the company after the holidays. They kept me exactly 90 days and I was told I was only seasonal and...

    Advice to Management

Please be more honest and respectful letting your seasonal hires know they are seasonal hires. Quit dangling carrots it just borders on unethical.

I have been working at Target part-time for more than a year

    Pros

You don't get enough hours to survive off of unless you have been there forever. You can't really survive off the pay but it's a relatively easy job. They push red cards. Your supposed to ask every Guest.

    Cons

No hours. Low Pay and have to push red cards. No benefits

    Advice to Management

    Pros

You always got off on time due to compliance! You work with a lot of people. so networking is easy.

    Cons

Nobody would take time out of their day to help others. You will always be a cashier first and then your actual job title.

    Advice to Management

People will leave if management begins to fail.

I worked at Target part-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

    - Friendly coworkers - Generally nice customers.

    Cons

    - I worked my butt off for them and was still told I didn't do enough, despite literally having the hardest job there. - Treated me like a child when both team leads stood around and did nothing. - Was fired and not given a decent reason as to why. - Expected to finish big projects in little time and seen as lazy if you do not complete them - All but 2 team leads actually attempt to work, usually stand around talking...

    Advice to Management

Stop favoring the two team leads in Softlines, both are useless, and everyone hates working with them. Focus on helping the Team Members who bust their butts! Stop relying on the word of Team Leads when they make mistakes too. Hell fire the Sales Floor LOD, she's absolutely useless and fires people for no reason. And you wonder why people quit their jobs? Because of YOU! We don't get paid enough to work until our bodies...
