I have been working at Target part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

flexible scheduling, decent work environment, cool people typically work there, values self expression

    Cons

The hours are all over the place. Some weeks they'll schedule me up to 39 hours (they never give overtime. ever.), and then the next week it'll drop down to 15. When you have bills to pay, this is super inconvenient. A couple of my managers would get annoyed when I would ask them simple questions or need help. Mind you, this was rare and usually just asking them to let me into the equipment room and other things I can't do myself.

    Advice to Management

    Do better

I worked at Target part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Easy to ask off, record time, and change availability

    Cons

Rude HR, difficult to rise in ranks, all the drawbacks of working for a large corporation

    Advice to Management

    Focus on employees more

  3. "Love the store and company, but hated how any ETL with a vengeance can screw you out of a job."

I worked at Target full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Flexible schedule, works very well with college, great company guidelines, worked with a great variety of people. Target has a great environment that feels very welcomed.

    Cons

Small volume stores still have the same workload as high volume with half the hours. Any ETL can be out of college with zero work experience anywhere.

    Advice to Management

Make sure you are checking in more consistently with the TMs about how their ETLs are treating them. This is for district level leaders and higher.

I worked at Target full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good pay, Great benefits if you are in management

    Cons

    No respect for team members

    Advice to Management

They need to go back to the way they were back in 2005. When their employees mattered. People will do a better job.
