I have been working at Target full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good leadership team, fairly open communication, good pay and benefits, advancement opportunities

    Cons

Expectations are much higher for new team members than for those who have been there for a long time; expectations from district level and higher management change pretty much constantly

I have been working at Target part-time for more than a year

    Pros

    It's a place to work.

    Cons

Inconsistent hours. Hours cut completely in half for months at a time. Some coworkers haven't been scheduled in 3+ weeks. High School mentality job. Over half the store spends more time spreading rumors than working. Corporate policies cause every team member to be stressed beyond their limit. Abusive management who get away with verbally and physically assaulting team members. Target refuses to promote from within unless...

I worked at Target part-time for more than a year

    Pros

For part time, you can make 9.50 and above but that's all.

    Cons

The managers are lazy and selfish. You put in a ton of work and are not appreciated for what you do.

    Advice to Management

Learn to value your employees from the bottom up.

I have been working at Target for less than a year

    Pros

Easy scheduling, good hours, getting red cards gives you free incentive sometimes

    Cons

10% discount, standing in one place for long periods of time, redcards are pushed entirely too hard

I have been working at Target full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Its a paycheck. A very small paycheck. 10% Employee discount but you must pay cash or with a Target Red Card for an extra 5%

    Cons

$7.75 an hour non-negotiable for cashiers. They expect a lot for such little pay. You have to up sale red cards to EVERY "guest" You will work 8hours one day 5 the next. Very inconsistent. You have to wait a whole live year for benefits
