I worked at Target (Less than a year)

    Pros

Starting wage was higher then many other non food related positions. Almost all shifts were 8 hours, easy to keep track of when you work when you either open or close. Good team atmosphere with someone always ready to help you out. Flexible to accommodate what days you can work.

    Cons

Strict on over time, hard to max out your 40 hours when 1 minute of overtime can get you in trouble. Early morning shifts. Employee discount isn’t a whole lot.

    Advice to Management

Let the team leads have a little more say in their own department, helps reduce expired Thrown out food. (Letting them order amounts of certain items that don’t sell enough to keep restocking)

    Positive Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

    -Flexible scheduling
-Makes a yearly survey to get feedback from team members

    Cons

-Most other retailers and grocery stores give better wages
-No longer offer benefits for team members who work under 32 hours
-Belittle and disrespect the opinions of team members that have worked in-store for decades.
-Has a bad case of two heads knowing not what the other is doing, as two different departments will make announcements that contradict each other.

    Pros

Good pay if you work in the right department. Friendly co-workers. Free food occasionaly. I also enjoyed how easy the actual work was.

    Cons

The upper management has no idea what they are doing. The customers can be very rude and talk down to you.

    Advice to Management

Get a real job you hacks. You only promote or recognize people who kiss your ass. You have no idea who the hard workers really are.
