    Pros

Benefits and if your FM, hours and pay are great.

    Cons

Mgt playing favorites. Equipment abuse, ETL's standing on very top of backroom ladders. Team learning the wrong things by example.
Specificly in the Duluth Ga. Store.

    Advice to Management

Stop playing favorites. This is from a FM point of view. Try to drive the company culture, only to have the family or its run to their leaders, then your told to work it out. Where's the support in that.

I worked at Target part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    You get a 10% discount
    The health plan is ok
Depending on where you work you can tell people about the product or help them find stuff etc.

    Cons

I didn't get a ton of time off right away but after I worked there a while it got better

I have been working at Target part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent pay for no experience needed. Its a very face paced job, almost never any slow days. You can get a raise every year which depends on how you perform.

    Cons

The job is physically demanding. How bad the physical workload is depends on what they have you do. I'm one of the two people that unload the truck every morning, its honestly the most difficult part of the job.

I worked at Target part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Steady job if the location is right and the team chemistry flows well.
Ability to move up based on merit.
    Flexible hours while in school.
    FUN

    Cons

Job depends on ability to solicit credit and hours are cut significantly if not soliciting

    Advice to Management

Give hours based on customer service and not soliciting credit.

I worked at Target (More than a year)

    Pros

Laid back work environment. Easy going management and upper management. Easy interview and hiring process. Cleaner atmosphere than Walmart.

    Cons

Terrible pay and benefits. Very little encouragement for advancement. Bad work moral and unhappy staff overall. Dorky rent a cop uniform.

    Advice to Management

Stop regarding staff members as replaceable and unimportant. People like feeling like their time and efforts matter to their employers

I have been working at Target full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great structure, nice environment, messages, and focus. Training is thorough, and senior management (if yours are engaged) pushes for continuous training and development.

    Cons

It is still retail, and ultimately bullying, posturing, and favoritism are bound to happen if the system is abused. It can be difficult to focus on your development, as tasks can often take away from training.

    Advice to Management

Focus on your team more. No matter how much you do, you can always treat them better to yield better results in every metric.
