I worked at Target full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You get all the hours you want
Most employees are friendly and approachable
In this area the guests are nice and understanding
Flexible with availability (within reason) which was great for school

    Cons

    Pushing the target redcard
Some of the higher ups aren't the most friendly and have high and sometimes unreachable expectations
    You'll probably work some holidays

    Advice to Management

That credit card isn't the meaning of life, if people get it great, if not the store won't close

I worked at Target full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Overtime around holidays with pay & a half, part of a team but most of your work is completed individually

    Cons

Inconsistent hours, physically demanding, long shifts (10 hours+)

    Advice to Management

Do better in approving time off when it is requesting 2+ weeks in advance.

I have been working at Target full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Generally nice and friendly management and coworkers, fairly easy to secure time off, flexible scheduling.

    Cons

Highly unpredictable and undesirable schedule, including late nights/weekends/ holidays, very limited benefits, limited potential for advancement, highly repetitive work, low pay.

    Advice to Management

Promote employees from within instead of constantly focusing on hiring new workers. Offer better pay and benefits. Ensure workload is balanced evenly among employees. Offer more consistent schedules that don't change every single week.

I have been working at Target part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Starts at 10/hour, breaks are reasonable (15 minutes every five hours, 1 30 minute every six hours)

    Cons

Poor management (lacking in team leader for 2+ months, insufficient stocks, etc.)
    Tips cannot be accepted.
Insurance not given until employed for one year.

    Advice to Management

Please allow us to accept tips. I cannot stress how many people will leave tips for us, and how much that means for your employees, especially during the drought of hours we're experiencing. $600 a month is not enough to live off of.
