I worked at Target part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

People that you work with are great! There is always something to do so you are never bored at work.

    Cons

Do not schedule you enough hours but expect you to come in on your days off. There also were not enough people staffed when you were working.

    Advice to Management

Give more hours to the stores so that they can staff the store sufficiently. It is not enough to give only two people a closing shift in a big store like Target.

    Pros

10% discount on everything in the store including Christmas trees
Depending on your position, your responsibilities could include:

    Capital and factory capacity analysis
    Budgetary plans and tracking
    Project valuation and prioritization
    Cost reduction and expense controls
    Financial statement analysis
    Systems implementation
    Pricing analysis and reporting
    Management reporting

    Cons

If you are the cart attendant, you have to clean the bathroom. Aren't allowed to form cart-attendant labor union

In addition to Target's lack of labor unions, several employees have stated that, during new employee training sessions, videos and lectures included strong anti-union messages. Often, managers have threatened employees with losing their job if they are caught trying to organize a union, similar in fashion to Wal-Mart's practices.[78]
