I have been working at Target full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They will work with you on your schedule and are very friendly. If you have to take the day off for personal reasons they will work with you to get your position filled for that day. We are like a family at Target. Fast, Fun, Friendly all the way!

    Cons

So far i have not run into any cons of working at target besides the people who don't call in when they won't be coming to work. That gets a little frustrating.

    Advice to Management

    None at this time.

I have been working at Target part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexible Scheduling, Team Member Discount, Guest Experience Stories

    Cons

End-to-End Management, Managers expect unrealistic things, holiday season

    Advice to Management

A corporate strategy does not work in all stores. There should be flexible models depending on the resources and environment.

I worked at Target part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great environment, good working relationship amongst team members, approachable supervisors and good work/life balance.

    Cons

At that time, it seemed like they tended to keep people just under the hours required to qualify for benefits

    Advice to Management

Treat people like they matter, and they will go above and beyond for the company.

    Pros

-Team Leads are always there to help
-You are encouraged to ask questions, I've been told multiple times that "there's no such thing as a stupid question."
    - Recognition is given appropriately.
    - Management isn't intimidating like most workplaces; I'm comfortable talking with any Team Lead without being looked down upon.
    - Just as we are called "Team Members," the management definitely does their best to maintain the "team" atmosphere.

    Cons

    - If you have open availability, expect your work schedule to never be consistent.
    - Since our store is considered a "training store" for management, some of the best Team Leads never stay for long.

    Pros

The people are fun and you get to interact with lots of them. The management isn't too bad either. Ilike interacting with all of the guests on a daily basis. We make it fun and that results in a better experience for our guests.

    Cons

Time off sometimes is hard, the pay isn't great and the benefits are good but not for part timers. The work isn't always the most fun and the hours can suck sometimes. People are sometimes mean when you don't have waht they want

    Advice to Management

Promote / hire more from within
