I worked at Target full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The best reasons to work at Target it's a great company the benefits is awesome 401ks and pension is awesome! It's just only thing I complain about is the pay and the reviews is too little.🖓🖓

    Cons

I really don't have that much challenges working at Target all I know is can I help you find something!😀😁😃😄😉😊

    Advice to Management

The reviews are too low. The pay should start at $10 an hour. If you have experience in retail it should be $15 an hour. We are dealing with customers face-to-face it should be more pay.

I have been working at Target full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Guaranteed 40 hour
    Flexible Schedule

    Cons

Poor training og leaders, which leads to weak teams. It i easier to obtain a management position from the outside, than it is to work your way up. There is a very poor use of great resources to promote from within. And wgile the company is growing, then employees and suffering- the hourly pay rate has been increased but the hours drastically cut.

    Advice to Management

Use the awesome team members that ave exoerience and welcome the challenge to be leaders. They know the company, culture and have helped push the brand.

I worked at Target (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great pay & benefits, great 401K, great reputation, great looking stores. Lots of good people working for this company. If you have a degree in basket weaving, the sky is the limit.

    Cons

Lots of talk about "Fast, fun and friendly" is lip service. Not the same company I started working for a long time ago. Sacrifices a lot of great executive talent for college kids with a degree. High rate of failure with hiring fresh out of college students into ETL positions. Work/life balance is a running joke for ETL's.

    Advice to Management

Support focus service areas with payroll to accomplish task and service. Development of team is important, but remember that we are here to sell stuff.

I worked at Target full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits, very difficult to get fired, diverse employees, allow visible tattoos and piercings

    Cons

unrealistic expectations for team leaders and team members, running on less payroll than needed to complete expectations, turnover is outrageous.

    Advice to Management

do not expect your employees to complete tasks you are not able to complete yourself.

I have been working at Target full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great learning experience. Hired as seasonal TM and was promoted a year and a half later. Flexible schedule. Annual raises.

    Cons

All ETL's act like they are still in high school. You are rarely thanked for what you do but are always reminded for what you did wrong.

    Advice to Management

Restructure the company. Get rid of some layers. Treat employees better. Raise base pay to well above what they have now.

I have been working at Target full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great learning skills, high promotional opportunities, and great work ethics if you give 100%

    Cons

Working in the wrong store could cause a really bad impression if you don't know better. Don't quit just work harder and get out of that store.

    Advice to Management

Stop hiring 20 year olds out of college with degrees that have nothing to do with business and or retail. These kids wont stay for long because its way to hard for them and not the field they want.
