    Pros

Competitive Pay and Training/Development. Great opportunity to gain leadership experience. Great company benefits 401k, health insurance.

    Cons

Lack of work/life balance. Must have an open schedule to work holidays, weekends and overnight.

I have been working at Target part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They really take care of the team members (employees), the 10% discount is worth it, plusyou get another 5% for use your Redcard and an extra 20% in Simply Blance Brand (healthy brand).

    Cons

At least in my district (Fort Myers, FL) they rather bring someone from the outside than promote internally

    Advice to Management

There's a lot of team member (with potential) that really get disappointed every time that you decide to bring someone from the outside to a Team Leader (management) position

I worked at Target full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Great coworkers, team environment, can be a really fun place to work
    - Customers treat you like you're human

    Cons

    - Will be required to work absurd hours, sometimes days over 14 hours as a manager
    - Meager pay, especially if you accept a manager job
    - Payroll is insane. They don't give out any hours, so it shows the company is dying

    Advice to Management

Retire, and go work somewhere else like K-Mart, where people who are incapable of running a company should go. You obviously have no ability to compete with other large retailers, so you are the problem. Having a slave labor force paid minimum wage won't make up for your inability to run a company

    Pros

In summer working here is peaceful and you can explore the art of crafting drinks and meet amazing customers. Need extra hours outdside of staevucks you can work within tsrget.

    Cons

Always working alone even on hectic days. Target LOD's don't care about their Starbucks associates. Pay is great starting off but the work load is intense during season. Hours are short .

    Advice to Management

Provide more than 1 associate and have longer hours .

I have been working at Target full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Employee discount on everything except gift cards, 401K, health insurance, flexible scheduling, potential promotions, guaranteed a yearly raise if you do your job (between five cents to one dollar), facial piercings, crazy hair dye & tattoos are acceptable

    Cons

Poor management and sometimes under staff to save on pay roll (more of a recent change from 2014; varies from location); can be stressful because of this, almost no chance of getting time off during the big holidays (Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc.), sometimes hard to get promoted, yearly raises are mediocre, health benefits are only available if you are full time.

    Advice to Management

I wish they would actually train new managers to learn more about the Target culture instead of just putting them out there; they graduate from college and can work from day one managing, but what you learn from school and how we work at Target are two different things. I wish they would make new managers work side-by-side with regular team members to train how things are done before they get the responsibility to manage a team.

I worked at Target part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The co workers there were fun. I guess if you like fast paced work, the holidays were crazy.

    Cons

For the most part, the STLs and even some of the team leads were clique-y and standoffish. Working in retail is pretty terrible, but even so, the guests at Target are pretty snobby.

    Advice to Management

Put faith in your team members. I know there are some low hanging fruit there, but if you give some a chance, they'll impress you.
