    Cons

Lots of time on your feet, time scheduling can be an issue due to automated system, other than that everything was a positive experience

I have been working at Target part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexibility, decent pay and sometimes cool coworkers

    Cons

Wild decision making on the part of corporate, eliminating positions for the sale of downsizing, pitiful hours, some co-workers form highschool esque cliques. Constant micromanagement and unrealistic expectations. There's little to no incentive to make target your long term workplace.

    Advice to Management

Stop being so cheap and take care of your employees. Reevaluate corporate culture

I worked at Target (More than a year)

    Pros

The environment was accepting, you felt like you were home when you went to Target.

    Cons

Because the team leads had to meet demands, employees on the floor had to work very diligently with little time to laugh or talk. We often got in trouble for having conversations with customers for too long.

    Advice to Management

Take it easy with the demands -- we're humans, not robots.

I have been working at Target part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Other team members are good people, team leads are constructive and helpful. Flexible working hours.

    Cons

Will most likely be undervalued and hard work will not noticed. It is also very hard to get consistent hours.

    Advice to Management

Upper management care very little for those who are on the bottom like your average team member.

I have been working at Target part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Target has flexible scheduling, decent entry level pay, and the job is usually easy. Workers are encouraged to be friendly and they usually hire friendly people dayside.

    Cons

The major shortage of hours January through June. If your normal is about 30 hours, some weeks in a row you can be as low as 8 hours or 10 hours. The upper management likes to play with hours and keep workers as scarce as possible in order to save money yet, the workload remains the same if not more due to the shortage of workers. To top it off, they'll continue hiring people despite telling workers that are already there that there aren't enough hours to go around. Target does not care about the long-term worker.

    Advice to Management

Please reconsider your business model. It really shows when workers aren't appeased by their lack of hours. They're less inclined to be as friendly as you'd like them to be, and likely they'll put less effort into the job because they feel they aren't valued.
