I worked at Target full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Decent pay and benefits including a little discount.

    Cons

No work/ life balance as promised. You can have every other weekend off but in order to get that you would work 3 days on, 1 day off, 6 days on, 1 day off, 1 day on, 2 days off.

    Advice to Management

If you want to attain these difficult goals, you need to start treating your employees better.

    Pros

It's very family friendly. Almost everyone is great to work with and target carries quality products so it's also a great place to shop.

I worked at Target full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

From the start, my STL expressed interest in having me grow as a TM. She often gave me advice and allowed me to practice leading.

    Cons

Store was often such a mess that teams were working on other projects instead of their own goals.

    Advice to Management

    Keep your ETLs accountable.

Taget accept flexible schedule, so if you are in school, they may be a good choice.

    Cons

The interview process is too complicated. Online Assessment -> First Interview -> Second Interview. Paid rate is low.

I worked at Target part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Pay was good, flexible hours, was able to learn new skills in different areas, supervisors understands if you're a student (meaning that if you need to leave early for a final, for example, they will most likely let you),

    Cons

Can be a stressful job at times, especially during the holidays since there's more things to do and more people to deal with.

    I worked at Target part-time

    Pros

    -Work around school schedule
-pays around $1.50 over minimum wage
-Many positions at the store, so you have the opportunity to move around departments to find your right fit (started off as a cashier, moved to soft lines, then to Guest Services, then to Pizza Hut, and finally settled down at Starbucks)

    Cons

-Selling Red Cards (if you didn't reach the quota of one Red Card per 4 hour shift, then your hours were docked.
-Employee discount is only 10% (in CA, that only covers tax) & you have to either pay with cash or a Target Red Card in order to receive the discount
-My location constantly changed GSTL and LOD, so management often didn't know what they were doing especially when scheduling people during pique hours
-if guest throw a tantrum, GSTLs and LODs will bow bow down to the customer to keep the "Target Vibe"
