    Pros

As a leader in the retail industry, Target is a great place to work. The organization focuses heavily on developing associates into leaders who can hold his/her team accountable; motivate others to achieve; and drive sales within their stores. I think any individual who works at Target and has success will have a leg up on other candidates in the marketplace. It is a great place to develop leadership skills.

    Cons

Target is very metrics focused - this extremely heavy focus on metrics puts significant amounts of pressure on individuals and can impact decision making in a negative manner. Also, opportunities for growth can be very limited at Target and can be based almost solely on initial assessments and interviews and not necessarily on years of work within the organization.

    Advice to Management

I have no advice to management at this time. I Target is aware of most of the "cons" of working at that organization.
