I have been working at Target full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Work/Life Balance. Very good for retail management. Still every other weekend off. Good salary. Always changing which keeps interesting.

    Cons

Poor corporate decisions that led to sour taste in customer eyes about company.

    Advice to Management

Make logical and thought out decisions

I have been working at Target part-time for less than a year

    Pros

The job was easy and the pay was decent. I know a lot of people who come to work stoned, so if that's how you want to live your life Target will allow it.

    Cons

Hard work isn't recognized. You are definitely replaceable and management doesn't acknowledge or deal with complaints. Bad employees are kept while good employees ALWAYS move on to a better job. Some even take a pay cut to get out of Target.

    Advice to Management

Recognize and reward those who do their job, especially if they do it well. Hire an HR person who deals with problems instead of just telling you to go have a cigarette.

I have been working at Target part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Pharmacy is a very close knit group of team members. Due, to the role pay is slightly higher.

    Cons

They don't value input at the store level regarding activities. HR/Scheduling system sucks.

I worked at Target part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Easy to get hired and easy to get hours by taking others shifts.

    Cons

Management did not recognize going above and beyond, but they were quick to recognize faults.

    Advice to Management

Spend more time investing in your employees and they may stick around longer. Firing to rehire doesn't seem to be working.
