I have been working at Target part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Same level colleagues were typically easy to get along with.

    Cons

In store management was typically under educated and ill equipped to perform their position properly.

Pay was not great, but what one would expect working as a retail "associate".

Ever changing shift days and times were less than ideal.

This last is not the corporation's fault, so much as the nature of the way people treat one another in general (at least in the United States). Working retail is unrewarding and un-fulfilling enough, but the way "guests" treat "associates" is abhorrent and makes working in that environment extremely challenging and difficult to give service with a smile.

    Advice to Management

Read a book or two on the subject and learn how to treat people better in general.

I have been working at Target part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They leave you alone most of the time to do your own thing. You can mess around all you want when no one is bothering you.

    Cons

lower level managers with authority are lazy and only are there to dictate and direct.

    Advice to Management

    Be more hands on.
