    Cons

Just toooo much work ! Constant changes being made majority of the managers are super lazy. It's no real way of growing unless you plan to spend at least 3 years before they see any potential in you.

I have been working at Target full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Great benefits for team leaders.

    Cons

Store executives are mostly recent college grad bimbos who lack any business competency or common sense and are brainwashed and scared by corporate into reiterating talking points. Management routinely scapegoats Team Leaders via disciplinary actions when they are bold enough to speak out regarding practices which are absurd and damaging to the business. The company currently has an incompetent CEO and is run like North Korea.

    Advice to Management

Wake up. You are running a perfectly viable business into the ground. Your stock went from $80 to $50 almost overnight due to gross incompetence at the highest levels of management.

I worked at Target part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

My coworkers were amazing and my managers were like friends to us so we had a lot of leniency when it came to breaks. That's the only positive of this job. It was like a family environment. They are very flexible with school schedules which is always a plus.

    Cons

Corporate expects us to do way more than humanly possible within a short time frame. The customers ( I refuse to call those heathens "guests") we got were absolutely horrible. They made the job unbearable. No respect and always felt entitled. Employees get almost no raises and put up with more than we should. The employee discount only pays for the taxes of most purchases. The hours we're crazy. I would come in at 4pm and not leave till 3am, knowing I had an early class the next day. Softlines would be the last to leave the store because we had so much to do. "I would quit if I worked in softlines" would be the tag around the store from anyone not working in softlines.

    Advice to Management

Corporate should visit during closing hours instead of opening hours just to see how much workload the employees have to deal with. Also, a little more positive reinforcement would be nice.

I have been working at Target full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The best part of working at target is that you can change your shifts with other team members.

    Cons

Apparently the company is not doing very well because since I start working here, they're always cutting hours, they are always trying to spend the less possible in the team members.

    Advice to Management

If the company is not doing well you should said something and not pretend that everything is ok and just cut hours from us, the worse part of that is that we have to do the job of 2 or 3 people.

I worked at Target full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There is potential to move up if you work hard. You can get extra hours if you show interest by working hard and being a team player. They recognize your effort although it can get annoying to hear recognition over the walkie for basic jobs while others might not get recognized for more difficult jobs. Managers are not allowed to bother you while you are on lunch break.

    Cons

Hours can be harsh depending on your specific job (really early for flow and backroom team, late for closing crew). Benefits don't kick in until after 6 months.

I worked at Target full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Good pay
Great benefits - health/dental/vision Insurance, 401K plan, tuition reimbursement

    Cons

Stressful work environment where store management has very high expectations and are focused completely on metrics, especially if you are working at a high volume store.
