The many good things about this position is that they give you a good amount of hours and the payroll is awesome, especially around the holidays. And they also give you a discount depending not the purchase that you make.

    Cons

The only downside is that their benefits will not be offered until after one year of starting to work for the company.

I have been working at Target full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Great benefits for team leaders.

    Cons

Store executives are mostly recent college grad bimbos who lack any business competency or common sense and are brainwashed and scared by corporate into reiterating talking points. Management routinely scapegoats Team Leaders via disciplinary actions when they are bold enough to speak out regarding practices which are absurd and damaging to the business. The company currently has an incompetent CEO and is run like North Korea.

    Advice to Management

Wake up. You are running a perfectly viable business into the ground. Your stock went from $80 to $50 almost overnight due to gross incompetence at the highest levels of management.

I worked at Target part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

My coworkers were amazing and my managers were like friends to us so we had a lot of leniency when it came to breaks. That's the only positive of this job. It was like a family environment. They are very flexible with school schedules which is always a plus.

    Cons

Corporate expects us to do way more than humanly possible within a short time frame. The customers ( I refuse to call those heathens "guests") we got were absolutely horrible. They made the job unbearable. No respect and always felt entitled. Employees get almost no raises and put up with more than we should. The employee discount only pays for the taxes of most purchases. The hours we're crazy. I would come in at 4pm and not leave till 3am, knowing I had an early class the next day. Softlines would be the last to leave the store because we had so much to do. "I would quit if I worked in softlines" would be the tag around the store from anyone not working in softlines.

    Advice to Management

Corporate should visit during closing hours instead of opening hours just to see how much workload the employees have to deal with. Also, a little more positive reinforcement would be nice.
