    Pros

Pay and benefits are comparable to their competitors or better. Generally speaking, time off is granted as needed, unless the request is unreasonable.

    Cons

Was supposed to have a pay grade review on several occasions, each time it was blown off. Sometimes policies and procedures get in the way off actually getting the job done.

    Advice to Management

The economy is tough right now, but if an employee is due for a pay increase that is not going to happen, communicate the situation.

I worked at Target full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Many great people work there! Benefits are pretty good

    Cons

Managers sometimes get promoted for reasons other than competence. Often has to do with checking off an experience level on their way up the ladder. Annual reviews are intentionally geared to reduce giving raises. If you take a job there, ask for top dollar, or you're screwed with whatever percentage your annual review rating allows.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your on-site people more. Roving District and Regional partners, in my experience, are far less competent and able to assess than they think. A Regional partner, looks at a few reports, spends ten minutes on the store and automaticlly on the attack. WTF! Reminds me of senior officers in the military who "knew it all," obviously vbased on rank rather than knowledge.
