I have been working at Target full-time for more than a year

      Pros

The minimum wage was raised to 12/hr

      Cons

The management as a whole is a mess. There is never any communication and you are never appreciated for your work. You are also not properly trained in the amount of time they give you. Due to not having proper training, many times you are put in situations that you have no knowledge in fixing. You also have very little support from the leaders or executive team leads when it comes to customer harassment.

      Advice to Management

Care about your own team members .

I have been working at Target full-time (Less than a year)

      Pros

They give good hours, are flexible with your schedule and at least at my location there is lots of incentive towards getting red cards. Pay above minimum wage which is nice. Staff is friendly and very supportive and you don't feel below anyone.

      Cons

Constantly pushing for red cards even when you're already trying your best, it gets a little frustrating when the pressure is put on you to get more and more all the time even after getting a sizable amount.

      Advice to Management

Be more motivating and less commanding, i know we need red cards but being told the same thing every single day gets old, we need to feel like we're doing more than just filling a quota for you guys. Make it fun and exciting, bring in some games or more exciting incentive for it.

I worked at Target full-time for more than 3 years

      Pros

-Most of the Locations work very hard to accommodate school and family schedules and give you shifts that you can fit into your life.

      Cons

-Management is unorganized and does not communicate well with each other in store. -Employees are severely overworked, due to disorganization among leadership. -Most employees do not feel like valued members of the store. Work atmosphere is very negative.

      Advice to Management

If you want to change the atmosphere and the attitude of your employees, you need to start focusing on fixing the major communication issues between your leadership staff. Everyone above the Team Leaders came into work with a different agenda then the other ETLs. Its impossible for sales floor team members to get their work done, when they are given different goals by five different people.

I worked at Target part-time (Less than a year)

      Pros

      - everyone works as a team and everyone knows each other - job is easy - starbucks is right in the store

      Cons

      - pay is low - pressure to get customers to sign up for mobile apps/credit cards - hours get cut

      Advice to Management

stop trying to make your employees reach quotas by bugging customers to sign up for things and stop cutting hours to save a buck.
