I have been working at Target full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Upper management is very friendly. Flexible schedule. Co-workers are probably the best part of the job. I have worked at target for over 2 years at two different locations and I have not had any major problems with my job so far. If you do your job, you should truly have no problem. Also, if you need to transfer to a different store, HR is very good at helping you with that. I have transferred to two different stores with no problem. Overall, I am pleased with my job.

    Cons

If you have a lazy co-worker that works the shift before you, you will have more of a work load & still have to meet expectations. When it gets slow, it could get a little boring, but that's like most jobs.

    Advice to Management

I have no advice for upper management. For the most part, they have been good to me. They are pretty supportive. Of course you might have one bad manager in the group, but that goes for almost all jobs.

I have been working at Target part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Working with the public can be very enjoyable. The co workers are what make my work fun almost every day.

    Cons

Depending on what department you work in, the job can really suck most days. Management tends to shadow it's employees from what I've personally experienced.

    Advice to Management

Let new employees know the requirements for their department. And train employees the correct way. Management seems to be all on different pages sometimes.

I worked at Target part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Excellent communication on duties and expectations. Exceptional awareness to family responsibilities. Fair pay for work involved. Tons of locations. Opportunity to stay on as permanent employee may be offered. Excellent employee discount "stacked" on store sales and promos.

    Cons

    Very few Full time positions.

    Advice to Management

I think an exit interview would provide some insight for day to day ops.

I worked at Target part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent pay and breaks. If you work a full 8 hour shift you get an hour total worth of break and lunch time broken up into 3. Managers seem to genuinely care about the people they employ. They provided decent meals for major holidays and raised hourly wages on bust non holidays such as the day before Christmas. I was there for almost two years and had very little to complain about.

    Cons

Hours can be harder to come by after holiday season and if you tough it out a month or so when seasons start leaving then you are ok.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees major concerns.
