I worked at Target part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Work goes by quickly if you focus and you get to meet some of the more interesting people both as guests and co-workers.

    Cons

I wanted more hours and some members of the public can be rude for no reason.

    Advice to Management

They need to increase the number of cashiers available at one time since shortages in that department lead to problems in other departments and made everyone have to perform two jobs at the same time.

I worked at Target full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The company has some basic benefits and the work is fairly straight forward. Peers are easy to get along with and can be great allies to complete tasks.

    Cons

Once Target realizes that they can replace you for someone that makes less they start to kick you out the door. Your prior accomplishments mean nothing and you start at square one with every change in management, and management turns over a lot due to the high demands of the company and short staffing. I wouldn't recommend investing your time here as a long term career. Use them as a short term job because Target uses you.
