I have been working at Target part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I guess the pay is better than other retail stores. I started at $11.25/hr and I'm up to $12.50/hr in less than a year. They have given me time off when I requested it.

    Cons

A few members of the management team are extremely condescending and disrespectful when they interact with employees. They are often out of walkies and mydevices, and box cutters, which are all key tools needed to do your job.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the condescending managers or retrain them to treat all employees with respect.

I have been working at Target part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Very team oriented and the people who work there are amazing

    Cons

You can only use your employee discount (it's only 10%) if you pay with cash or the Target Red card. They don't offer full time hours, and your schedule will be unpredictable

    Advice to Management

Staff accordingly. Our location is always short staffed in soft lines, hard lines and cashiers.

I have been working at Target part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The two targets I've been to have nice social atmosphere and protection policies are enforced well,

There's usually room to move up but it requires hard work and long days. This is a good place to earn an honest living

    Cons

however there company is always pushing for higher productivity and overloading employees with tasks

Social time is alright but will be in the way of higher hours. Company standard to keep most everyone part time

    Advice to Management

High turn over rate is because of low hours and compensation not equal to work load. Required breaks and equal work opportunities are morally required not a privilege employees have to be grateful for

    Pros

    Decent Pay
    Good Hours
    Good environment

    Cons

The Training is done by other associates so it is more of a learn as you go , and if you don't ask questions you will have to learn by mistakes.
