I worked at Target part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I felt very at home working at Target. They had no issue with my tattoos or offbeat appearance. Out of all the retail jobs I've ever had, this was the best company I've worked for.

    Cons

The only real con I can think of is some of the other new hires I worked with were pretty negative about working there. Though I assume they would probably be negative about any job they had.

I worked at Target full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You get to work with some amazing people. By amazing people I mean people who are not management.

    Cons

Management are awful. Pay is horrible. Managers don't want to interact or understand problem solving. Managers are hired with no understanding of how an actually everyday work load is. They come in with unreachable and unattainable goals, and reprimand and fire people at the drop of the hat. A very racist company

    Advice to Management

Learn to become better leaders! Not managers!

I have been working at Target part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They work with your schedule and provide benefits. You gather a lot of vacation time quickly and it's rare to get turned down for some vacation as long as you request it early enough.

    Cons

Have to keep a happy facade even when managers and higher ups are griping at you to get guests to apply for credit and debit cards. Hours can often get cut which overloads the few who do arrive to work. When someone calls in, the rest have to struggle to make up for that gap which makes guests irritable when there isn't an employee around to assist them.

    Advice to Management

If you want happy customers, stop focusing so much on getting them to sign up for a card and focus more on more important things like cleanliness, presentation, and availability of plenty of employees.
